APPLYING FOR A LOCAL LAW
ENFORCEMENT AND POLICE JOB
Each
individual agency has their own employment process. Some
Sheriff's Departments and Local Police Agencies accept
application on an ongoing basis, where some agencies will only
accept applications when the job has been announced. Also,
some local police agencies will conduct the hiring process
themselves, where some agencies will use their human resources
or personnel departments to conduct most of the hiring process.
Other agencies will use an outside private company to conduct a
good portion of the hiring process, or parts of the application
would be outsourced to these companies.

applying for about their application and hiring process.
